Over Spring Break, Thomas More's very own Choral Program and Chamber Winds went on tour. It was the first one since the Covid-19 shutdown, and it was long awaited for.
Cincinnati, Ohio, served as the tour's starting point. There they performed during services at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.
For the tour's second leg, they traveled to Bowling Green, Kentucky. A performance was given for the congregation of First Christian Church. The students spent the night in homestays. The following morning, they visited Bowling Green High School, where they performed for the choir program and taught them a song.
The third stop for the tour was in Nashville, Tennessee. They had the opportunity to explore the city and take in the sights for the day! Groups of them went to Nashville’s Broadway District that night to shop, dance, and sing their way around!
“My favorite memory was going to Ole Red and listening to country music!” said Allison Bartlett. They had the time of their lives! They stopped at the Nashville Farmers' Market on their way out of Music City the next morning.
The final stop for the tour was Lexington, Kentucky. At Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, they gave a performance alongside the Lexington Catholic Choir. At the conclusion of the concert, it was time to head home. Michaela Crites said, “It was truly something we needed after the pandemic and Covid!”
