Last week, Thomas More had their modified homecoming week dubbed: Stay-At Homecoming. The week had a variety of events to adapt to social distancing to let students and professors show their pride.
Campus ministry kicked things off Monday with an outdoor chalk festival where students were able to decorate the sidewalk entrance to the school with their art and creativity. Tuesday picked it up with the TMUnited rally, where students, faculty and everyone in between marched around the campus for social justice and unity. Wednesday, students were able to relieve some stress with the outdoor plate smash room along with free Larosa’s on the lawn. Thursday began to round things out with the annual Pig Roast where students sat down and relaxed while the Cincinnati Circus hosted the block party in the evening.
Additionally, the 2020 Homecoming King and Queen were named Ian Manahan and Whitney Johnson. Friday ended off with a movie on the lawn where students stopped by and caught a viewing of Pixar's “Onward”. The week ended as a success in the eyes of staff and students alike, with perfect weather and even better memories to make the campus feel like home.
