With the new year comes new opportunities. The career & internship fair returns to Thomas More this year online for the first time. Students of all ages and majors have the opportunity to build strong connections with companies in the local area and develop real-life skills that pertain to their field of study.
Now, you may be asking yourself, "Why should I look into the career & internship fair, I already have something lined up." here are a few good reasons why you may still want to check it out.
For underclassmen who are still figuring out what the next move will be and where to work, this fair offers opportunities to help them narrow that search. Even if you are looking for just a summer job, it could sprout into something more. Attending a few sessions with companies that even sound somewhat interesting can help you prepare for interviews and times to come.
For upperclassmen, it serves as an opportunity to meet with recruiters 1:1, and to also continue strengthening interview skills with potential employers. Prestigious internships will also be offered to upperclassmen. Your connection pool can never be too big, don't wait to grow your personal network until you after you graduate!
