University of Dayton student, Michael Currin, passed away Monday September 21st, after injuries suffered in an off-campus incident early Monday morning involving a. Michael was a 2019 graduate of Moeller High School in Cincinnati where he was a basketball standout.
Many took to twitter on Monday afternoon to honor Michael, who was said to be a great young man. He was described by his former coaches on social media as always positive, always smiling, and always leading. Prayer vigils were held at Dayton and Moeller over the last few days to honor his life. Dayton police are currently investigating the event, with the help of the homicide unit, in looking for answers in the events that led to Michael’s death.
Micheal's private funeral is being held Monday September 28th at 10:30 am, however a virtual mass will be held for those who wish to pay tribute. Police are still investigating the situation and retracing Micheals final steps to piece together what happened.
