Saints Men's and Women's Soccer Defeat Georgetown to End Regular Season and Move to Tournament.

Both Men's and Women's soccer defeats Georgetown on senior night, closing out their regular seasons with a victory.


Mens' soccer beat Georgetown Wednesday night (October 27) 2-1 in overtime. The Saints took 19 shots, 10 being on goal. Junior Matt Lodge and Freshman Flo Meyer made the two goals of the night. The men's record becomes 5-9-2 overall and 3-8 in conference play.



The men's team competed in the Mid-South Conference Tournament Tuesday (November 2nd) against Life University. They fell 5-2. The Saints' two goals were made by Junior Thomas Wolfe and Senior Griffin Garrison.


This ends the team's season with a record of 5-10-2.


Womens' soccer beat Georgetown Wednesday night (October 27) 4-3 in double overtime. The Saints took 21 shots, 17 being on goal. In the first half Freshman Eva Kinwel and Junior Sydney Rhodes, both scored. In the second half, Graduate Nely Martinez-Hernandez scored a goal. The Saints got their final goal that won them the game in the second overtime with Freshman Amy Bos's goal. Their record is 9-8 overall and 5-6 in conference play.



The women's team competed in the Mid-South Conference Tournament Tuesday (November 2nd) at Thomas More against Georgetown University. The Saints' defeated them 4-2. Freshman Amy Bos and Freshman Eva Kinwel both made a goal. Junior Sydney Rhodes had 2 goals.


Their win advances them in the tournament. The Saints' will take on Lindsey Wilson Friday (November 5th) in the Mid-South Conference quarterfinals at Lindsey Wilson College at 4 pm.
