Adam Kozerski is the new head coach of the Bishop Brossart Mustang Football Program.

He has many years of experience in and around the game of football, as his father Bruce Kozerski, played for the Bengals and helped kick start the football program at Holy Cross High School.

Adam would eventually play for Holy Cross, under his dad, and win the state championship his senior year, playing tight-end and defensive end for the Indians.

Now he comes into this head coaching role after being an integral part of the Holy Cross coaching staff in recent years past.

He is an educator at Bishop Brossart as well, teaching math to many of his football players, including senior Joe Schneider who has had Adam in class for two years now. "It makes sense, he is a good teacher, so now he is a good coach." Schneider said.

Coach Koz, as the players call him, is very impressed with the team he inherited, a strong willed group.

"Really smart group," Adam said. "I came in, they were eager to learn, and eager to play well."

The team feels like they can build a stronger relationship with their new coach as he is not to far removed from playing football himself.

"It feels like he is one of us," senior quarterback, Tyler Holtz said, "he makes it so we know what to expect from him."

Brossart's new coach hopes to make an impact on his players outside of football by giving them tools for success in life after football, to help them "learn, grow and succeed."

Adam looks to expand the program in the future as well, to make it one of the premier programs in NKY.

"We want to grow the program," Adam said, "we want to get more people to come out on a Friday night...just building more excitement around football."

Certainly there is a lot to be excited about for Bishop Brossart football in the future, as they ended their first season under Coach Koz with a 9-3 record after losing in the playoffs.
